The Old Site of "Stone Forest Conference" is located in Shilin Town, Shancheng District, Hebi City and covers a total area of 0.5 square kilometers. On June 10, 1947, Liu Bocheng, commander of Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army, and Deng Xiaoping, political commissar, convened a meeting of column chiefs at Falong Temple, Shilin Village, and the great feat of "leaping thousands of miles into the Dabie Mountains" was arranged and deployed on the meeting, strugglingly blowing the horn of strategic offensive for liberation war, which has a very important position and significance in the history of our Party and army, historically called as the “Stone Forest Conference” of Liu-Deng army. 

    The old site of “Stone Forest Conference” was successively appraised as national classic red tourism scenic spot, one of the five excellent red tourism routes of Henan Province, patriotism education demonstration base of Henan Province, the CPC history education base of Henan Province, the social science popularization demonstration base of Henan Province, one of first red education bases in Henan Province, and one of first party history and national history education bases of Henan Province for caring about the next generation, which have a high concern and recognition from both inside and outside of the province. It has become an integrated red education demonstration base to develop party spirit education, patriotism education and party history education. The old site of “Stone Forest Conference” includes the Huibiao Square, Tourist Center, Liu-Deng Army Museum, Shuangyong Square, the Old Site of Stone Forest Conference, Shilin Farming Exhibits Hall, the Old Site of Command of Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Army, the First Cypress of North China, the Red Auditorium, the General-Officer Lake, General-Officer Hill and so on.
